Funeral services for Nettie Jean Britt Martin, 75, were held Friday, May 17, 2013 at Decaturville First United Methodist Church with Cathy Oakes officiating. Burial followed at Concord Cemetery near Decaturville.
Mrs. Martin, 75, of Decaturville, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville after a sudden illness.
She was the daughter of the late William Malcolm and Sarah Opal (Smith) Pratt. Mrs. Martin was a member of Concord Methodist Church in Decaturville for over 45 years. She retired from Decatur County Bank after 40 years of service. She was very active in her community where she was a member of the Concord FCE Club, Decatur County Historical Society, Farm Bureau Board of Directors and Scotts Hill Lions Club.
She is survived by a daughter, Pam (Chris) Villaflor of Parsons; two step-daughters, Susan Martin of Jackson and Cynthia Martin of Benton, Kentucky; a step-son, John (Denna) Martin of Parsons; and a sister, Shirley (Ed) Seufert of Atlanta, Georgia; and her mother-in-law, Monnie Mae Britt of Decaturville.
She is also survived by four grandchildren, Leslie (Stephen) Box, Lee (Lauren) Villaflor, Laura Villaflor and Michael Maness; three step-grandchildren, Blake, Hunter and Johnna Martin; two great-grandchildren, Addison and Jenna Box; and one step-great-grandchild, Chevy Martin. She was predeceased by her first husband, Dewey Britt, who passed away in 1993 as well as her second husband, Tony Martin, who passed away in 2012. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Deborah Kay Britt Maness.
