Another pursuit ends with arrest and drug charges

On Tuesday, May 18, another pursuit ends with an arrest and drug charges. Deputies with the Decatur County Sheriff’s Department were directing traffic on Iron Hill Road when a white, Mercedes Sedan driven by Jason Kilzer approached. Deputies requested the driver to stop and pursued when the driver failed to stop. During the pursuit, Kilzer reportedly attempted to strike two other patrol cars and led deputies into Perry County where he later crashed into some trees. According to reports, Kilzer did not comply with deputies and a taser was deployed, but no injuries were reported. Drug paraphernalia was seized and Kilzer was charged with 7 counts of Reckless Endangerment, Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia and Felony Evading and was transported to the Decatur County Detention Center. DCSO wishes to thank Perry County Deputies for their assistance.
