Inv. Rowand graduates top of her class

Congratulations to Investigator Jenny Rowand for graduating from the Law Enforcement Academy at Cleveland State Community College. Investigator Rowand graduated at the top of her class in academics and came in second for physical fitness. She beat her personal records in all aspects of the physical fitness course. "We are so proud of Jenny for all of her accomplishments in school and know that she will do a wonderful job in her position at the sheriff's office,” noted Sheriff Keith Byrd. Rowand is the new Special Victims Investigator which entails Crimes Against Children, Sex Crimes, Crimes Against the Elderly, Sex Offender Registry and Evidence. She graduated with certificates in Basic Law Enforcement, EVOC and Defensive Driving, Pursuit Driving, Intoximeter, DUI Detection, Field Sobriety Testing and Introduction to Drugs that Impair, Radar Operations, Strategies and Tactics of Patrol Stops, Firearms Training, Taser CEW V.21 User Certificate, Defensive Tactics and Advanced Emergency Medical Training.
