Local business owners give back to community

As Covid 19 continues to ravage across the United States and has now hit Decatur County, Randy and Yuki Ni decided they wanted to give back to the people of Decatur County. Both acknowledge that their customers at the New China Buffet have been so supportive to them over the many years that they have been in business in Parsons, and they want to do all they can to lend a hand in this time of need.

“We just want to help all our friends and neighbors in the county all we can,” stated Randy and Yuki.

After seeing a story on Fox 17 about an American Chinese group getting masks through their China connections, Randy began calling to see about masks for Decatur County. Randy traveled to Nashville Tuesday morning to purchase as many surgical masks as he possibly could. He was able to purchase 2,500 masks.

The masks were presented to Decatur County EMA Deputy Director David Whitaker and were distributed across all areas of Decatur County to a wide range of needs in different places, from health care workers to grocery store workers.

Randy and Yuki stated they will continue to do their part in focusing on the positives in Decatur County and they will keep doing all they can to help out the community.

Thank you Randy and Yuki Ni.

(Note: Deputy Director Whitaker noted that all masks have already been assigned.)
