Make plans to attend 2021 Decatur County CHRISTmas Tree Lighting

2020 Decatur County CHRISTmas Tree

You are cordially invited to the 2021 Decatur County CHRISTmas Tree Lighting Ceremony set for Monday, Nov 29 at 6 p.m. on court square in Decaturville. We hope you will join us as we celebrate Christ’s birth and welcome the Christmas holiday season together.

This year’s ceremony will feature special entertainment from local youth and school dance/cheer groups as well as beautiful Christmas musical enchantment from local singers and church groups. Come support your youth and community as they prepare special routines to share with you.

Decatur County Mainstreet will announce the winners from their decorating contest and be sure to check out their decorating skills at various areas around the square.

A visit from jolly old Saint Nick will have magical smiles for the kids as he arrives on the big red fire truck!

Bring your cameras and snap pictures in front of the County CHRISTmas tree, around the square, at the gazebo, with Santa, and with your friends, family and community.

A special new addition to this year’s ceremony is a crowd caroling and candle lighting to be held right before the finale…the official lighting of the Decatur County CHRISTmas Tree led by Decatur County Mayor, Mike Creasy.

You may reach out to Teri Kapp via Facebook event page messenger or call/text 1-731-206-0452 with questions regarding the event. Search 2021 Decatur County CHRISTmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Facebook and join the page for important updates as they are made. Watch for updates from TNL Today as they help spread word of the event and will be on site to live stream the ceremony as well. Thank you TNL Today as well as WKJQ 97.3 for helping to keep our community informed.

We are excited to gather together again in celebration of salvation, friendship, family and community. Make plans now to join us on the square for our own ‘small town Hallmark event!’
