On Sunday, April 10, 2022, the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office was notified of an unconscious male behind the steering wheel of Ford F-150 located at the Marathon convenience store at I-40. K-9 Sargent Brian Collins responded and discovered Kenny Fowler slumped behind the steering wheel. According to the report, Fowler was slow to respond to questions and showed signs of drug use. EMS was dispatched to the scene in suspicion of possible heroin overdose. Fowler was transported to Camden General Hospital and later transferred to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

Sargent Collins later used K-9 Ikar to inspect the vehicle and discovered 42.10 grams of marijuana, 3.16 grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and over $1,000 in cash.

Warrants were issued for Mr. Fowler for the manufacture, delivery, sale, or possession of methamphetamine, possession for resale of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and DUI.

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office attempted to serve the warrants on Mr. Fowler on Tuesday morning but he evaded arrest. He was later found around noon on Tuesday and taken into custody.
