James Kenneth Graves, Jr., 83, of Parsons, passed away Friday, March 5, 2021 at AHC Decatur County in Parsons. He was born Jan. 23, 1938 to the late James Kenneth Graves, Sr. and Katie Belle Laster Graves in Parsons. He was also preceded in death by one son, James Kenneth (Ken) Graves, III; and one daughter, Kimberly Graves. He was a retired business owner, a correctional officer at Turney Center for 17 years, Navy veteran and a lifelong resident of Parsons.

He is survived by his son, Allen Graves of Hazelgreen, AL; daughter, Tracy Graves Massey (Phil) of Elmwood, Tenn.; sister, Karen Graves Green (Jerry) of Marianna, FL; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a longtime friend and companion, Joyce Warren of Perry County.

Visitation will be Monday, March 8, 2021 from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Oakdale Funeral Home with graveside services at 2 p.m. at Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
