Ricky Steven "Pop" Kennedy

Ricky Steven "Pop" Kennedy, 73, of Bath Springs, Tenn., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2020 at his home.

He was retiredĀ from Leroy Somer, was a 1965 Decaturville High School graduate. He was also a long time member of Old Center Methodist Church and had been attending Darden Baptist Church. Ricky was a US Army veteran having served in Germany.

Ricky isĀ survived by his wife, Patti Kennedy of Bath Springs; a daughter, Kerri (Billy) Slaughter of Dyer, Tenn.; a sister, Susan Austin of Reagan; a brother, Mark Kennedy of Bath Springs; a daughter-in-law, Emily Kennedy Sparks of Decaturville; two step-sons, Chris (Shelia) Sides of Lexington and Keith (Lisa) Camber of Lexington.

He was "Pop" to his three grandchildren, Hunter Kennedy, Mekayla Kennedy and Cameron Slaughter; and four step-grandchildren, Blake and Eric Sides and Caitlin and Harley Camber; and four step-great-grandchildren.

Ricky was preceded in death by his first wife, Glenda Kennedy; his son, Clint Kennedy; his parents, Joe T. and Aileen Kennedy; a brother, Tommy Kennedy; and a step-son, Steve Sides.

His funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2020 at Old Center Methodist Church in Bath Springs with Bro. Ryan King officiating. Burial will follow at Old Center Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4-9 p.m. at Reed's Chapel - Decaturville and Thursday from 12 p.m. until service at Old Center Methodist Church.
