Robert William Johnson, 79, of Bath Springs, passed away Saturday, Sept. 5 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

He was retired from B & B Sawmill, had served in the TN Army National Guard and attended Bath Springs Missionary Baptist Church.

Robert is survived by his wife, Phyllis Tate Johnson, of Bath Springs; a step-daughter, Patty (Don) Hopper, of Sardis; and a step-son,Jerome (Denae) Henderson, of Lexington. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Daniel and Kasey Henderson and Greg Hopper.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rub and Mabel Johnson; a brother, James Paul Johnson; and a sister, Wilma Brunt.

His funeral service will be held at Reed's Chapel, Decaturville, at 1 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 7 with burial to follow at Old Center Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Monday from 9 a.m. until service.   

Reed's Chapel - Decaturville is in charge of arrangements.
