Tonya Faye Snider, 58, of Mountain Home, AR, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023 in Arkansas after an extended illness. Tonya was born Nov. 29, 1964 in Memphis, Tenn. to Landon Snider and Brenda Morgan-Snider, formerly of Decatur County, Tenn.
Deaf since infancy, Tonya attended and graduated from the Arkansas School for the Deaf in Little Rock, AR. She lived in Jonesboro, AR for many years before moving to Mountain Home, AR a few years ago to be near her father and sister.
Tonya was preceded in death by her mother and grandparents. She is survived by her father, Landon, and his wife Nita, of Mountain Home, AR; her sister, Denise Morgan and her husband, Brad, of Midway, AR; a niece, Ashley Morgan-Plaster and nephew, Phillip Gatton; and four great-nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her companion of many years, Steven Virgin.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bath Springs with Bro. Denny Broadway officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her mother.
Visitation will be held the same day from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Reed's Chapel in Decaturville, Tenn.
