Ruth G. Averett

Ruth G. Averett, 91, of Reagan, Tenn., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 18, at AHC Westwood in Decaturville.

She was retired from H.I.S. Factory, was a homemaker and a member of Red Walnut Church of Christ.

Mrs. Averett isĀ survived by a daughter, Linda Gale (Bill) Woods of Reagan.

She is also survived by three grandchildren, Christopher (Melove) Casey, Shane (Lacinda) Casey and Karen (Tommy) Gordon; and seven great-grandchildren, Crysten, Catie, Keith, Micah, Anayston Casey and Trace and Rachael Gordon.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Herman Averett; parents, Noah and Velma Gibson; a sister, Gladys Hamilton; two brothers, Youal and Henry Gibson; and two great-grandchildren, Chesney and Gage Casey.

Her funeral service will be held at Red Walnut Church of Christ in Bath Springs, Tenn. at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21 with burial to follow at Red Walnut Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from 1 to 10 p.m. at Reed's Chapel in Scotts Hill and Friday 10 a.m. until serviceĀ at Red Walnut Church of Christ.
