Panther soccer competes in pre-season jamboree

The 2020 Riverside High School soccer team was able to get their first taste of the year's opponents this weekend with a pre-season jamboree hosted in Lexington.

RHS soccer participated against LHS varsity (non-district), Scotts Hill (district opponent) and Adamsville High School (district opponent). The Panthers came away with wins against both district team opponents, overtaking SHHS 3-0 and Adamsville 2-1.

Coach Dollie Maness and Assistant Coach CJ Kapp were able to identify areas of strength and areas to strengthen during the jamboree games. Players were able to put new skills and concepts to the test with their first opportunities to play against rival teams for the upcoming season.

They will participate in a pre-season scrimmage against SHHS on Friday, March 6 at Scotts Hill with kickoff at 4:30 p.m. RHS soccer looks forward to an exciting season and hopes the members of the community will be present to support them as we are all a part of Panther Nation!
